This page explains the limited browser storage used by bluebrassarchive.com and the rules that apply if additional services are enabled later.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored by a website through a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, which can remember a preference without using a conventional cookie.

Storage used by the Archive

Colour-mode preference

The Website remembers whether you selected Imperial Blueprint or Porcelain Cabinet. This setting is held in local browser storage. It exists only to preserve the chosen appearance and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Strictly necessary WordPress and security cookies

WordPress and the hosting or security environment may set technical cookies when they are necessary for administration login, authentication, security, load balancing, form integrity or another service explicitly requested by the visitor. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent when they are genuinely essential to provide the requested service.

Contact form

The launch contact form uses a short-lived WordPress security token to validate a submission. It does not use the form to create an advertising profile.

Services not enabled by the launch package

The launch package does not itself enable audience analytics, behavioural advertising, remarketing pixels or a mailing-list provider. The theme contains prepared but inactive spaces for a newsletter and advertising. Empty spaces do not load third-party code.

If analytics, advertising, embedded media or another non-essential service is activated, it must not be loaded before consent where consent is legally required. Visitors should receive a clear choice that makes refusal as accessible as acceptance. This Cookie Policy and any consent interface should then identify the providers, purposes and storage periods actually in use.

Managing browser storage

You can remove cookies and local-storage entries through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent an administration login or a requested form from working correctly. Removing the colour-mode preference simply causes the Website to return to its default or device-based appearance.

Changes

This page will be updated when the Website’s real storage practices change. Privacy questions may be submitted through the Contact page.
